"STEM education" is not only about teaching students programming and tools, but to let them learn the logical thinking, problem solving, and experimental spirit behind it, and use it in daily life.


Smarthon has always been committed to simplifying and applying technology to teaching so that STEM education can be integrated into the school's regular curriculum to stimulate students' interest and creativity.


We provide various types of STEM school services including Student STEM Courses: micro:bit programming, Mobile Phone Applications, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), etc., Competition Training Courses, Teacher Training workshops, STEM Short-term Activities, Computer STEM Regular Courses.


We have developed our own STEM textbook package of micro:bit "all-in-one sensor" series: "Smarthon Smart House Kit", "Smarthon Plant Kit", allowing general studies and science teachers quickly and easily integrate technology teaching aids into the curriculum!



STEM School Courses

We provide multiple types of STEM school courses, suitable for all primary and secondary schools. For example: "micro:bit Smart Home Course", "Microsoft Azure IoT Smart Plant Course", "Google AIY Vision/ Voice Artificial Intelligence Application" course. These courses allow students to learn different knowledge in depth, train their problem-solving ability and logical thinking, etc.


Computer STEM Regular Courses

This course is designed to introduce specific topics into the computer classroom. The instructors cooperate with the school teachers to teach different classroom content to students of all levels, and adjust the course progress according to the needs of each class. The course also assists the school to set up an "enrichment class course" for top students after class.


STEM Short-term Activities

2-4 lessons for students to experience different STEM courses, such as: "micro:bit smart transportation car", "IoT smart treasure box", "artificial intelligence (AI)-portrait and picture recognition", etc. Schools can be the first to experience and expand STEM education in schools.

Professional Teacher Training

At the "Basic micro:bit Programming Training" course, teachers can quickly grasp programming knowledge and logic within 2 hours.


"Advanced teacher training" courses: Muselab Booster courses, artificial intelligence (AI – Google AIY Vision/ Voice), cloud big data courses (Cloud – Microsoft Azure IoT), etc., let teachers continue to learn the latest STEM technology.


Competition Training

The course includes different models, such as Electronics, Coding, Mobile App (APP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud/Big Data, etc.

Students will learn a series of different topics, use their learning to develop creativity, create different ideas, make different inventions/models, and participate in various types of STEM competitions.


STEM Competitions

Smarthon provides professional services and co-organizes STEM competitions with schools. We provide training workshops to participating teams and provide exclusive hardware for the competition. Colleagues are dispatched to assist the event on the event day.



STEM Course Team

Our course design instructors and teams have over 5 years of experience in STEM teaching. They have trained principals, teachers, and students from over 100 different schools (Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), King's College, St. Paul's School, Diocesan Girls' College...);


Served as the chief mentor and preliminary judge of the STEM competition organized by Cisco and IVE from 2016-18, trained students to participate in many large-scale competitions, such as: "Hong Kong Youth Technology Innovation Competition" 2018-2019, MTR "STEM to create the future ”2018/19, “So much learning 2019”, etc., and has won many awards and experienced.

Engineering Team

Our STEM product engineering team has rich experience in circuit board design, hardware design, and hardware programming of STEM products.


Our engineering team leader is a former chief engineer of METAS and MUSELAB, an expert in the Internet of Things (IoT), and is familiar with Bluetooth/Infrared/WIFI and other IoT protocol communication (BLE/Wi-Fi/IR and other IoT protocol communication). He has developed many products and participated in large-scale technology projects, making smart traffic sticks and smart hotels for visually impaired people.
